At our last event, more than 600 men from prisons all across Louisiana were bussed into the Angola Prison Rodeo Arena for a day that would change everything. This wasn’t a rodeo, it was a revival!
Elevation Worship led worship, filling the massive arena with songs of hope! Many of these men were especially excited because they regularly listen to Elevation Worship on the radio and now, they were worshipping alongside them in prison. For everyone that attended that day, it was a moment they’ll never forget.
During their song “I Trust in God” something truly powerful happened.Chris Brown, Elevation’s worship leader, invited one of the inmates to join him on stage. Together, they sang, not just a song, but a testimony. In that moment, surrounded by officers and fences, the words “I trust in God” carried a weight far beyond the music. For these men, those words were a lifeline. The inmates raised their voices in worship, some with tears, many with hope. This wasn’t just entertainment, it was a moment of real connection to God and to each other. It’s a reminder that faith is alive in the darkest places and that worship holds the power to tear down every stronghold.
Thank you for your support that continuously makes these events and life changing moments possible! You're helping bring hope into the darkest places.
There has never been a greater urgency to reach men and women behind bars. The cycle of generational incarceration is massive, but together we get to do something about it.
