Check out her amazing story:

“I spent the last six years of my life incarcerated. It was a period filled with despair, fear and a deep sense of hopelessness. I reached a breaking point when I found myself confined to a suicide cell. It was in that moment, in the depths of my despair, that I turned to God.I cried out to Him, feeling lost and alone. To my astonishment, something incredible happened. I looked up, and there, in the light that shone through a tiny light in the room, was a cross. It was as if God was reminding me that He was with me, even in that dark place.

At that moment, I felt a sense of peace wash over me, and for the first time in a long while, I was able to fall asleep, feeling held and comforted. After that experience, I knew I had to seek God in a more intentional way. Thankfully, a program called God Behind Bars was offered at Indiana Women's Prison. I started attending their services weekly, and I can't begin to describe the transformation that took place within me. I delved deep into my Bible, studying it and seeking guidance from its pages. Then, as fate would have it, 2020 hit, and all the services at the prison were halted. It seemed like another blow to my newfound faith, but thankfully, we were provided with tablets that allowed us to access services remotely.  Through those virtual services, I continued to grow spiritually, and God's presence in my life became even more tangible.

Now, I am a changed person. God's love and grace have transformed me in ways I never thought possible. I have discovered a purpose and a hope that extends far beyond the prison walls. And I want to share my story with others, to let them know that no matter how hopeless a situation may seem, there is always room for redemption and a fresh start.

As of April 21st, I have been released from prison for a year. However, my time inside has taught me, some of the toughest prisons to hold people back aren't the ones with barbed wire fences. They are the ones people cannot see.”

Would you join us in praying for her, as well as all the men and women who have similar stories to hers, still imprisoned?
