Our team just got back from a brand new spot!

Earlier this month, some of our team got to go into LA County Jail— the largest jail (not prison) in the country— and share the gospel with more than 75 men, two of whom invited Jesus into their lives for the first time!

Unlike prison, the average sentence being served there is 3-5 years, and most men are awaiting trials, transfers, sentencing, and other uncertain aspects of their incarceration, so the mood in this facility felt dark, somber, and worrisome.

Our founder and CEO Jake Bodine shared the story of Joseph from the book of Genesis, as well as the gospel, and our team led the men in some worship songs. They came into the room arms crossed, hard looks on their faces… but we truly saw the light creep in and hearts soften during the song “Goodness of God.” Those same guys left the room teary-eyed, thanking us for being there, and having heard multiple times how much Jesus loves them and has a plan for their lives!

We can’t wait to go back to LA County and create more programming for this facility! Thank you for all you do to support our ministry and outreach events like this one!
