For the past several years, we’ve had the honor of doing ministry at Louisiana State Prison, and time and again, we’ve witnessed God move in ways we never could have imagined. Fathers are restoring relationships with their children, men are choosing to live with mission within the prison, and hope is constantly being restored because of seeds that are sown at events like THIS one that we got to be a part of this month.
We had the incredible privilege of worshiping alongside 2,000 inmates at the Angola Rodeo yard. They gathered from facilities all across Louisiana for what became the largest prison event we’ve ever been part of!
We were joined by Elevation Worship, Stephen McWhirter, GBB Music, Daddy Yankee, Pastor Donk, Shelby Brown, and our founder, Jake Bodine. We lifted up the name of Jesus and shared the message of redemption and new life no matter your circumstance. Hundreds of men made the decision to follow Christ and we celebrated over 60 baptisms.
Thank you God! It will never go unnoticed that you are a huge part of what God is doing in these prisons. Your support and prayers are making an eternal impact! We believe this event is just the beginning of even greater things to come!
After reunifications in Oklahoma and Las Vegas, we went to Texas, and in Bartlett and Allred we watched 98 more children run into the arms of their parents in a family reunification that was as amazing as any other so far.
