Back in February, we launched our first-ever Love Week campaign. The goal? To bless someone directly impacted by incarceration.
We invited nominations, unsure of what would unfold... until we heard from a mom about her 17-year-old daughter, Zoey.
Zoey had just started a relationship with Jesus. What sparked it was a short Instagram video of her dad being baptized in prison. She recognized him instantly. That moment stirred something deep, and she began seeking truth for herself.
Zoey had grown up visiting her dad behind bars: weekend visits, metal detectors, long waits. But she never gave up on him. She saw real change in his life, and it opened the door to transformation in hers.
When we shared her story with you, you showed up. In just 24 hours, you raised $3,154.13 to support Zoey and her family. They were shocked in the best way!
What we didn’t know at the time: Zoey’s mom, Jessica, a full-time nurse, had been quietly donating plasma to help cover bills. They were in a tough season. Her husband, still incarcerated, had been praying desperately for God to provide.
Then came the plot twist we couldn’t have scripted. A few weeks later, we held a revival night inside the prison where Zoey’s dad is housed. When he found out we were there, he came straight to us.
Not for prayer. Not to ask for anything. Just to say thank you.
He shared how he had finally surrendered everything to God: his family, finances, and future, and asked Him to take over. Then came the call from home: Zoey had been nominated. People had given. A burden had been lifted.
“You had no way of knowing,” he said, “but God did. And He used you to answer my prayer.”
Since then, Zoey and her sister have been baptized. Their mom has started walking with Jesus. And their dad, once dealing drugs and drowning in shame, is now leading others to Christ from inside the same prison where his own faith began.
All of this started with one story.
One step of faith.
And your generosity.
Thank you for being part of it.
We won’t forget it.
And neither will they.
What we witnessed was nothing short of a revival behind bars.
There has never been a greater urgency to reach men and women behind bars. The cycle of generational incarceration is massive, but together we get to do something about it. Whether you choose to give once or monthly, know that your donation is not only helping here on earth, but is changing eternities forever.
